1922 – Design Bureau established under the Moscow Association of State Power Stations
The bureau’s first projects include work to increase the capacity of the Elektroperedacha power plant (today – R.E. Klasson SDPP-3) from 20 to 40 MW, expansion of SCHP-1 (P.G. Smidovich HPP-1) and HPP-2
The projects of Kashirskaya, Shaturskaya, and Novomoskovskaya power stations designed.
1927 – Diagram of the first heat supply system of Moscow developed.

1931 – The first heat pipeline in Moscow with a length of 6 km from SCHP-1 designed and laid
In 1933, the Design Bureau was merged with an electric networks design bureau.
1935 – The first 220 kV transmission line system Novomoskovskaya SDPP- Moscow was built;
Frunzenskaya CHP (today - CHP-12), Stupinskaya CHP (CHP-17) being designed; previously commissioned facilities expanded.

October 1941 – the bureau closed, most of the employees sent away to the war
In December of 1941, the bureau resumed its work.
1941-1945 – design of air defense facilities for existing stations and substations. The development of temporary constructions in the event of the destruction of system parts. Designing of mobile power stations – powertrains with a capacity of 500-1500 kW for the restoration of damaged power supply and the power supply of relocated industrial enterprises.

December 1949 – Teploset and Moscow Cable Network joined the Design Bureau. Mosenergo Design Bureau transformed into the Mosenergoproekt Institute
1950-1960s – CHP–16 launch, CHP-22 first power unit was put into operation. Designing of new substations: Sofrinskaya, Rostokinskaya, and Novospasskaya.

1972 – a unique major unit with a capacity of 250 thousand kW, which has no analogs in the world, with the T-250 heating turbine for supercritical steam parameters designed and put into operation. The major unit was installed on CHP-21, 22, and 23.
